In the 1950's the main problems in public schools were chewing gum, noise, running in the halls, dress code infractions, etc.  Today's students face drug & alcohol abuse, violence, suicide and pregnancy.  I try to motivate youths to work for their dreams through discipline and encourage them to assume leadership roles. "Childhood dreams are the foundations for adult realities."  You are visitor #Hit Counter

For over five years Steve lived an odyssey of adventure as chief diver & expedition leader  for The Cousteau Society.  He left the job of his dreams to be a motivational speaker for public schools and youth groups.  He shows multimedia programs about his adventures with dolphins, humpback whales orcas (that were eating 8' long sharks), and filming lava flowing underwater.  He also led the most extensive great white shark research project ever launched. Steve uses adventure to challenge youths to pursue life enhancing goals that can only be achieved through right choices and a commitment to excellence.  Click here for cost of programs (reduced 20% to 30%) and references.

A commitment to a quality education strengthened with self-discipline and a focus towards good choices leads to happiness, adventure and to a challenging life.  Bad choices only leads to tragedy, despair and to real-life nightmares.  Steve knows about choices before joining the Cousteau team he was a defendant in the John DeLorean drug trial of 1982.  His spiral downwards began with a marijuana mistake that unexpectedly threw him into the frightening world of organized crime.

This is Steve inside the world's first plastic great white shark cage with a 17 foot long, 3,000 lb. super-predator in close attendance.   This event is captured on film as the shark actually hugs the thin plastic cage in Cousteau's video about great white sharks "Lonely Lord of the Sea."

"Integrity is but one of the paths in life, but it is the only one on which you won't get lost."

Steve also speaks at teacher and principal conventions as well as for law enforcement, drug counselor, and correctional officer educational seminars.

Steve is offering educational scuba diving tours  to Fiji in the South Pacific.   Program includes advanced training in underwater film and video, and professional level diver training. Click here  for more details.

Steve shot this picture of a great white shark from only three feet away.  He was standing on a swim step less than one foot above the water.  When the over seventeen foot long super predator leaped out of the water the resulting splash soaked Steve from head to toe.   It is just one of the exciting events he shows to students at his presentations.

Shark!  It is the most feared creature on earth.  The terror of suddenly being ripped apart by a super predator.  In 2001 there were 79 shark attacks worldwide...51 of those attacks occurred in the United States.   We lead with two-thirds of the world's reported shark attacks, yet the odds of being attacked by a shark are actually very remote.   In the year 2000 we lost only one person to a shark compared to thousands of children and youths that died because of drug abuse.  Drugs cripple children's minds and tear families apart.  Steve's focus is to help schools and families to fight off the ravages of drugs.
